[準備]

    qpopper2.52.tar.gz

1. 展開
  
    tar zxvf qpopper2.52.tar.gz

2. make

    ./configure
    make
    make popauth
    (単に make ではpopauth ができなかったので。)

3. インストール

    cp popper /usr/local/etc
    cp popauth /usr/local/etc
    cp *.8 /usr/local/man/man8
    cd /usr/local/etc
    chmod 500 popper popauth

4. inetd.conf 編集

    cd /etc/inet
    emacs inetd.conf
    (次の１行を加える
pop3  stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/local/etc/popper   popper -s
    )

5. services 編集

    emacs services
    (次の１行を加える
pop3            110/tcp                         # Post Office
    )

6. inetd 初期化

    kill -HUP `inetd のPID`
