Goals and Features of the Course

The Department of the School Psychology fosters multidisciplinary knowledge about psychological theories of learning and instruction from the perspectives of development, characteristics of cognition, and social interaction. We also develop evaluation skills including methods to assess development, motivation, ability to problem solve, and the theory of group dynamics. The purpose of this course of study is to train professional teachers who foster students' “abilities to learn” incorporating learning motivation, problem solving, planning, and communication, and who are able to develop teaching methods which serve to improve their students’ scholastic abilities.
