Goals and Features of the Course

Social Studies Class

The 21st century is witnessing many changes in the world. What is the most important ability for a teacher living in this new era? It is, we believe, the ability to think. What is the ability to think, then? Our answer is to think freely, creatively, and independently.
This course of study aims to develop a teacher with an ability to think deeply, because such a teacher will be able to overcome various difficulties with which present-day education faces. To achieve this goal, this course of study provides various subjects to accomplish this task.

Main Course Subjects

General Subjects (Outline Courses): Social Studies Education, Geography, History, Law, Politics, Economics, Sociology, and Philosophy
Special Subjects (Lectures on Major Subjects): Physical Geography, Human Geography, Japanese History, Eastern History, Western History, Political Thought History, Ethics, etc.
Applied Subjects (Interdisciplinary Subjects): Development Education, Comparative Sociology, Study of Human Existence, International Relations, Political Science for World Peace, Gender Studies
Practical Subjects: Seminar and practical training in each specialty field
Educational Subjects: Social Science and Education

Major Career Paths
